Bianchi – innovative bicycles with tradition

The Bianchi brand combines innovative technology, extremely high quality standards and Italian tradition. Its history goes back much further than that of the other Italian bicycle brands known today. Colnago or Pinarello, for example, were only founded in the course of the 20th century.
As early as 1885, the 21-year-old Eduardo Bianchi built his first bicycles in the famous Via Nirone in Milan. He was one of the first to use a chain drive, and he dispensed with the outdated and dangerous high wheel construction. The striking “Celeste” – a bright sky construction – as the frame colour soon became the trademark of the Italian bicycle manufacturer. From the very beginning, Bianchi kept an eye on technical innovations in his developments.

He tested his products intensively in bicycle racing – a close bond that still exists today. Many famous cyclists have ridden Bianchi: Marco Pantani on his Tour victory in 1998, Fausto Coppi and the Italian cycling icon Felice Gimondi.

Bianchi continues along this path: in the design and technical development of new frames. With current Pro Tour teams such as “Jumbo Visma”, the world’s best cyclists test the latest developments under the toughest conditions – the result is bikes that stand out through design, performance and safety.

See for yourself: in 2020, the latest Bianchi models will be available for you at our bike rental in Alcudia!
